Singapore’s Orchard Road Turns into a Real-Life Chase Scene for Running Man: The Movie

Fans sprint through the heart of the city in an immersive urban hunt celebrating the film’s global premiere on November 13.

In a thrilling prelude to the global launch of Running Man: The Movie on 13 November, Singapore’s iconic Orchard Road transformed into a high-stakes urban chase this week.


Over two nights — November 5 and 6 — runners and members of public took to the streets for a one-of-a-kind movie activation that blurred the line between fiction and reality.

A Movie Activation Like No Other


Inspired by the movie’s heart-pounding chase sequences, the activation turned Singapore’s busiest shopping belt into a live-action playground of suspense, speed, and surprises.


Participants joined the Running Man Hunt, dubbed as #HuntThemDown where they raced through a 4.3KM route from 313@Somerset to ION Orchard, tracking down eight (8) Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with Run Crew Leaders from local run communities Fast and Free Run Club and Run.JPG leading the way.


The event was supported by the iRun Singapore, premier specialty running store, Shokz Asia, 2XU and 100PLUS - as the experience recreated the movie’s adrenaline-fueled energy — right in the middle of the city.


The Chase Is On: How the Game Worked


Each night, four KOLs — “targets” for the chase — were released along Orchard Road. Participants, dubbed “assassins,” had to locate and “catch” them to collect game cards representing exclusive prizes and vouchers from Shokz, iRun, and 2XU.


Runners could collect up to four game cards in total, while also keeping an eye out for QR codes displayed on backpack billboards carried by the KOLs.


Every scan offered participants a chance to win exclusive tickets to the movie’s Singapore premiere on November 11 and enter a $1,000 grand prize draw, to be announced during the premiere event.

Bringing the Movie to Life on the Streets


Beyond the prizes, the activation aimed to immerse fans in the Running Man universe — a world of quick thinking, fast movement, and heart-pumping excitement. The event offered more than just a teaser for the film; it was a full-bodied physical experience that captured the tension, unpredictability, and fun of the Running Man concept.


As participants sprinted through Orchard Road — dodging shoppers, scanning codes, and hunting down KOLs — the city buzzed with energy, turning an ordinary weekday evening into a cinematic adventure.

High Visibility, High Engagement


With backpack billboards, branded checkpoints, and QR codes placed strategically along the route, the activation didn’t just engage participants — it captivated passersby and drew significant attention across social media.


The collaboration between United International Pictures and Sport Plus Media ensured the event achieved both high visibility and high engagement in the lead-up to the global movie release.
