Is there a song that motivates you?
Jing Wen: I used to listen to a lot of Fonk, which is a genre but that really only works for gym. For swimming I like to listen to Fallout Boys.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Jing Wen: That's a tough one, as there are so many. I would say something where I made my family proud I guess? I'm so sorry I really can't choose just one sorry.
What kind of people do you get your energy from, and where do you find those people?
Jing Wen: Very like-minded people, I am very competitive and I love being around competitive people but that kind of brings out a crazy side in me so I would actually say I get my energy from calmer, more subdued people - more of an opposite energy compared to me. It calms me down a little bit but it also energises me in that sense.
What is one resolution last year, you did not fulfil?
Jing Wen: Oh my gosh, all my friends are going to get on me for this but last year I said I would be better at texting and reaching out to people because I have friends in the US and the time difference is just crazy. I did not do very well in that, so it is on my resolution list this year again and hopefully I stick to it this time.
What is your favourite hobby outside of sports?
Jing Wen: Wow okay, I can't choose another sport? Okay my go to one was reading, but I would say my favourite hobby outside of sports is fashion. Is that a hobby? I do like fashion, I have been experimenting a little bit with dressing up and like taking videos and all that stuff for my TikTok so yeah on my TikTok I've actually veered away from sports and been doing more fashion and lifestyle things.
