SINGAPORE, 1 February 2026 — The HSBC SVNS Singapore 2026, also known as the Family SVNS, concluded in spectacular fashion at the National Stadium at The Kallang, drawing close to 40,000 fans over two electrifying days of world-class rugby, family-friendly entertainment and community engagement.


The multi-day rugby sevens festival showcased elite international competition, grassroots development programmes and vibrant fan experiences, cementing Singapore’s reputation as a premier destination on the global HSBC SVNS Series calendar.

Fiji Men and New Zealand Women Crowned Champions


The tournament reached a dramatic climax with Fiji Men’s Team successfully defending their title, overcoming 2024 Olympic gold medallists France in a thrilling final. Fiji surged in the second half, scoring all 21 of their points to secure a 21–12 victory.

In the women’s final, New Zealand Women’s Team delivered a dominant performance, defeating arch-rivals Australia 36–7 to claim championship glory in emphatic style.


These high-intensity finals capped off two days of non-stop rugby action that thrilled fans in attendance and viewers around the world.

World-Class Rugby Driving Local Development


Beyond the main HSBC SVNS fixtures, the National Stadium pitch also hosted a series of developmental and community competitions designed to grow rugby in Singapore.


Highlights included the Ruck and Rumble tournaments, where aspiring athletes competed in a world-class setting, as well as the Singapore Rugby Union (SRU) Schools U14 Sevens, which saw Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) defeat St Andrew’s Secondary School to lift the trophy.

The momentum continues with:


  • National School Games — Seven matches starting 2 February 2026, featuring 13 schools at the National Stadium


  • SRU National League U15s — Kicking off 7 February 2026, with at least six games for junior players aged 8 to 11


These initiatives underline the tournament’s commitment to building a sustainable rugby pipeline and increasing youth participation in the sport.

Family SVNS Delivers Festival Atmosphere


Living up to its name, the Family SVNS offered far more than just elite rugby. The event transformed The Kallang precinct into a vibrant festival hub, featuring:

HSBC SVNS Singapore to Return in 2027


Organisers confirmed that HSBC SVNS Singapore will return to The Kallang on 30 & 31 January 2027, with ticket sales set to launch later this year.
