National Aquathlon Champions Crowned as Singapore’s Multisport Scene Continues to Thrive

Singapore, 23 June 2025 — The energy was electric at East Coast Park as nearly 1,000 athletes gathered for TriFactor Run & RunSwim 2025, a standout event in Singapore’s multisport calendar.
From rising stars eyeing SEA Games 2026 qualification to seniors over 60 and inspiring Special Olympics athletes, this year’s event showcased the unifying power of sports.

Organised by TriFactor Asia, the event featured two marquee running races — the SGRC TriFactor Run 21km and 10.5km categories — alongside the increasingly popular RunSwim formats, which challenge athletes to combine endurance running with open-water swimming.

Singapore’s Ng Hou Jin Terry Wins 21km Men’s Overall Title
Leading the charge in the 21km Men’s Overall was Singapore’s very own Ng Hou Jin Terry, who crossed the finish line with a stellar time of 1 hour, 20 minutes, and 5 seconds. On the women’s side, Ms Rianne Payne delivered a commanding victory in the 21km Women’s Overall, clocking 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 28 seconds.

The event wasn’t just about seasoned competitors — rising talents and SEA Games 2026 hopefuls electrified the race, thrilling spectators and affirming TriFactor’s role as a launchpad for future national athletes.

National Aquathlon Championships Crown New Champions
Running alongside TriFactor Run & RunSwim was the National Aquathlon Championship 2025, where Singapore’s elite multisport athletes battled for national glory. Mr Low Shao En Reyes clinched the Men’s National Aquathlon title in 17 minutes and 5 seconds, while Ms Lim Wan Ting took home the Women’s National Aquathlon crown in 19 minutes and 13 seconds.

From Kids to Seniors: Multisport for All Ages
The morning also saw enthusiastic participation in the Kids’ TriFactor Run, with young athletes taking their first steps into the world of endurance sports. At the other end of the spectrum, seniors over 60 participated, proving that multisport is truly a lifelong pursuit.

Empowering Special Olympics Athletes Through TriFactor Care
Adding to the day’s significance was the inspiring participation of Special Olympics athletes, supported by TriFactor Care, the event’s CSR arm. Guided by a dedicated team of volunteers, these athletes raced with heart and determination, earning loud cheers from the crowd and underscoring the inclusive spirit that defines TriFactor events.

Growing Multisport in Singapore and Beyond
“This year, we saw a significant rise in multisport participation,” shared Mr Joseph Tan, Race Director of TriFactor. “It’s incredibly motivating to see not just elite athletes but also families, kids, and newcomers embracing the multisport lifestyle.”
Mr Elvin Ting, Co-founder of TriFactor, emphasized the event’s growing prestige: “Our goal is to elevate this into a premier aquathlon event in Asia, a stepping stone for athletes aiming for bigger global races. The growth we’re seeing is a testament to the passion of the local community and the generous support of our partners.”

With its dynamic mix of competition, community, and inclusivity, TriFactor Run & RunSwim 2025 once again affirmed its status as a cornerstone event for multisport in Singapore, inspiring both new participants and seasoned racers alike. #TriFactorAsia #TriFactorRunSwim #SgTriathlon
