A Retrospective on a Weekend of Movement and Connection in the Heart of Spain

The ASICS Seville 2026 Experience was far more than just a race weekend; it served as a high-energy, multi-day celebration of movement, connection, and performance set against the stunning backdrop of one of Spain’s most iconic cities.
From immersive brand activations to community runs and exclusive media moments, the event was designed to spark inspiration and push limits.

Spanning Friday, 13 February, to Sunday, 15 February, the experience brought together athletes, creators, and guests of ASICS from around the world for a curated journey that blended elite sport with local culture.
Each day was themed to reflect the emotional and physical arc of the weekend: The Spark, The Surge, and The Release.

The Spark: Igniting the Momentum
The weekend began on Friday with "The Spark," which set the tone for the days to follow. Upon arriving in Seville, guests were welcomed with seamless transfers to the official hotel, Meliá Lebreros, before heading to ASICS House for an afternoon of brand immersion. This initial phase allowed guests to explore the latest performance footwear, participate in media interviews, and capture content.

The excitement culminated in the evening at the iconic Plaza de América with the highly anticipated Energy Relay. This wasn’t a typical run; it was a visual representation of momentum where teams tackled a 10km course using high-tech, colour-changing batons.
As runners picked up the pace, the batons transformed in color and intensity to mirror their collective energy, creating a vibrant spectacle of technology and teamwork fueled by food trucks and a festival atmosphere.

The Surge: Building Collective Energy
Saturday, themed "The Surge," focused on activating the body and fostering community spirit. After breakfast at the hotel, participants returned to Plaza de América for the official Shakeout Run.

This relaxed, social 5K-style breakfast run helped runners tune into their bodies and soak in the local atmosphere while shaking out pre-race nerves. The morning featured live music and post-run refreshments, providing a perfect blend of light performance and social connection.

As the sun set, the energy shifted toward mental preparation during the traditional Pasta Party at ASICS House. This classic pre-race ritual allowed guests to refuel and connect one last time before the main event.

The Release: The Peak of Performance
Sunday marked "The Release," representing the emotional and physical peak of the entire experience. While runners took to the streets for the Seville Marathon starting at 08:30, non-running guests gathered at designated cheer zones, specifically at the 33km mark in Plaza de España, to provide vital encouragement. After crossing the finish line, athletes and supporters transitioned into a full post-race celebration at ASICS House.
This final phase offered much-needed recovery services, including physio support and showers, alongside food and music to celebrate the weekend's achievements. It served as the ultimate release, honoring the effort and shared momentum that defined the three-day journey.

A Legacy of Movement
The Seville Experience stood out because it successfully bridged the gap between elite innovation and community storytelling. Throughout the weekend, creators and media captured the "Good Vibrations" of the city, documenting how the energy of the SUPERBLASTâ„¢ 3 and the spirit of "Sound Mind, Sound Body" translated into real-world performance.
By the time the final guests departed, the event had proven itself to be a true movement where technology, teamwork, and triumph collided in one of Europe’s most beautiful running destinations. #ASICSRunning #Sevilla2026 #SUPERBLAST3
