Olympic, Sprint and Youth Aquathlon Events Added to Singapore T100 2026 Weekend

Singapore, 4 February 2026 – The highly anticipated Singapore T100 Triathlon 2026 is set to return on 25–26 April 2026, featuring exciting new race categories designed to welcome more athletes than ever before.
Organised by the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), the fourth edition of the Singapore T100 will introduce Olympic Distance, Sprint Distance, and Youth Aquathlon events, expanding participation opportunities for triathletes across the region.
With participation growing by 40% year-on-year, the new race formats reflect the rapid growth of triathlon and endurance sports in Singapore and across Asia.

New Singapore T100 2026 Race Categories Announced
For the first time in T100 history, amateur and youth athletes can compete in newly added categories alongside elite professionals.
The new Olympic Distance triathlon will feature a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run, providing a competitive option for experienced age-group athletes looking to test themselves on a world-class city circuit.
The Sprint Distance triathlon, consisting of a 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run, is designed to be more accessible for newcomers to the sport, creating a welcoming entry point into one of Asia’s premier triathlon events. The newly introduced Youth Aquathlon, featuring a 400m swim and 3km run, will allow athletes as young as 14 to take part, supporting youth development and encouraging early participation in multisport racing.

All swim legs for the new triathlon and aquathlon categories will take place in the Marina Reservoir, supported by increased swim capacity for amateur athletes. The expansion reflects the continued growth of the Singapore T100, with total participation increasing by 40 per cent year-on-year from 2024 to 2025 across all event categories.
This growth also mirrors national participation trends, with Sport Singapore’s National Sport & Exercise Participation Survey showing that swimming, jogging or running, and cycling consistently rank among Singapore’s top 10 most participated sports, collectively attracting more than one million participants annually.

Signature T100 Pro Race & Community Events
In addition to the new categories, the weekend will also feature:
T100 Pro Race (100km): 2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run
5km Music Run for community runners
All swim legs for the new triathlon and aquathlon categories will take place in the Marina Reservoir, thanks to increased swim capacity support.

Record Growth for Singapore Triathlon Participation
The expansion of race categories comes after a 40% increase in participation from 2024 to 2025. According to Sport Singapore’s National Sport & Exercise Participation Survey, swimming, cycling, and running continue to rank among Singapore’s top 10 most participated sports, with over one million residents taking part annually.
This sustained growth highlights Singapore’s position as a leading hub for endurance sports and mass participation events in Asia.
