21 September 2021, Singapore - Run For Inclusion (RFI) is back this year and will feature hybrid offerings - participants can either take part in-person or virtually at their own pace and comfort.

The seventh edition of the signature event, the largest inclusive running event in Singapore where participants run alongside runners with special needs, including the hearing, intellectually, physically and visually-challenged, will happen on 21 November 2021, with President Halimah Yacob as Guest-of-Honour.

Held at Singapore Turf Club, the physical event offers all three categories of run, walk and cycle, with the ability to customise each participant's run distance according to their preference and ability (3km, 5km or 10km run or walk), as well as a 20km cycling category.

For cycling, there is also a tandem cycling option to cater to persons with special needs. In light of the pandemic, all participants are required to be vaccinated in order to join the physical event.

On-site participants will be in for a treat as they explore the lush greenery and best kept secrets of Singapore’s only world-class horse racing club.

Attendees can also look forward to insta-worthy and memorable sights such as the STC Riding Centre Arena, home of the 2010 Youth Olympic Games Equestrian Jumping event.

Those who opt for the virtual event can join in the event with the 0-10km running and 0-20km cycling categories.

Unique to this year’s RFI are the race medals, with used horseshoes being given a new shine and recycled to be given away as limited-edition commemorative medals for those who take part in the physical event.

Following the tradition of previous years’ runs, Runninghour will offer complimentary entries to all PWSN and their caregivers for the event, limited to one caregiver per PWSN, to encourage more PWSN to participate in the event and to promote inclusivity and an active lifestyle within the community.

Registration for the physical and virtual events close on 31 October 2021 and 4 December 2021 respectively.
