Singapore, 31 May 2022 - lululemon has launched a new SenseKnit Running Collection today, in conjunction with Global Running Day (1 June 2022).

According to reports, the SenseKnit Running Collection is said to deliver an unparalleled performance and feel for runners, with the 9-piece collection for men and women being lululemon’s latest innovation for its technical running range.

The collection complements lululemon's core running styles: Fast & Free, Swiftly & Metal Vent Tech, Surge, Swift Speed and carries a suite of proprietary performance fabrics and technology which includes Nulux, Luxtreme, Ultralu and Silverescent powered by X-static.

Developed over a period of four years, the new SenseKnit Running Collection was designed using real human insights and with Science of Feel as lululemon's innovation lens.

The Canadian sports and athleisure brands worked together with its athletes and ambassadors to understand how they wanted to feel during their runs; and were given feedback that their best runs were when their gear “felt like nothing at all” and that “less is more” when it came to features and construction.

With these insights, lululemon studied the body in motion with 5 rounds of in-lab testing spanning pressure distribution, movement analysis, shape, perceptual feedback; and 2 rounds of in-field testing - tested and validated by its global collective of ambassadors and athletes to achieve the sensation they are confident runners are looking for – unrestricted, lightweight support – while also delivering the technical performance and endurance they need when running.

The result is a collection that puts runners’ desired sensations in sync – minimising distraction and therefore maximising their ability to focus.

lululemon's proprietary SenseKnit fabric technology seamlessly engineers zones of support, breathability, and mobility directly into the fabric without having to cut and sew.

Creators of the collection have obsessed over its construction, delivering only what runners needed and exactly where they needed it, including:

Targeted support to reduce soft tissue bounce across the glutes, stomach, thighs while enhancing your body’s natural muscle compression, increased mobility across joints like knees and hips, giving unrestricted range of motion exactly where you want it, and elevated ventilation maximizes breathability across high sweat areas.
