Chiang Mai, 12 December 2025 - The 6th edition of 2025 HOKA Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB® has successfully concluded, cementing its status as the Asia-Pacific Major. Spanning two weekends and two iconic hubs, the event welcomed a record-breaking 9,656 runners from 89 countries, generating an estimated 1.3 billion Baht for the local economy.

With new course challenges, returning champions, and breakthrough performances, this year’s event solidified Chiang Mai as a world-class trail-running destination. Below are the official race results, key highlights, and the stories that defined each category.

CHIANG DAO 160 (100M): The Climb to the Top

The debut of the 168km Chiang Dao 160 proved brutal, technical, and unforgettable. A stacked lineup—including trail legends Jiaju Zhao (CHN), Sange Sherpa (NPL), and Gediminas Grinius (LTU)—made this one of the most competitive 100-mile fields in Asia.

Men’s Champion: Aleksei Beresnev (AIN)

After finishing 11th last year, Aleksei Beresnev delivered a masterclass in race management and endurance. His strategic pacing and late-race surge carried him past former champions to seize the 2025 Chiang Dao 160 title—a career-defining victory and the biggest upset of the weekend.
