The countdown is officially on. We are exactly three weeks away from the iconic Gold Coast Marathon (GCM26), and the electric energy of Australia’s premier resort marathon is palpable.
The months of grueling early morning long runs, punishing midweek intervals, and meticulous nutrition planning are almost behind you. Now, it’s time to taper, trust the training, and get ready to fly on one of the fastest, flattest courses in the world.
Here at SportPlus.sg, the Gold Coast holds a deeply special place in our hearts. This year marks our fourth consecutive edition in Queensland and third edition covering the event on the ground. From the crisp, coastal winter air to the legendary crowd support running along the Broadwater, we’ve witnessed firsthand what makes this race a bucket-list pilgrimage for runners globally.

From 2–5 July 2026, Sport Plus Media will be back at the Gold Coast, hunting for the most inspiring, passionate, and vibrant stories from our region.
