Set against the backdrop of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks, this 42.195km race offers a stunning and historic course: starting from North Sydney, crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and finishing in the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House.
This elite‑label marathon (World Athletics Platinum) provides a world-class racer experience while also supporting broad community participation. Participants will run through distinctive Sydney neighborhoods and live spectator zones, with views of the Opera House, Centennial Park, Anzac Parade, and more.
Sustainability is a core part of the event: in 2026, the marathon will expand its eco‑friendly initiatives with solar-powered generators on course and upcycled finisher bottles made from 100% recycled PET.
