Singapore's most anticipated annual sustainability event is back in April with a new event venue at Bayfront Event Space and an expanded programme designed for runners of all ages

SINGAPORE, 21 January 2026 - Singapore’s most anticipated sustainability running event is back. Income Eco Run 2026 will return on 19 April 2026, reinforcing its mission to inspire climate-positive action through inclusive, community-driven participation.
Organised by Income Insurance, the carbon-neutral run will take place at a new venue, Bayfront Event Space, offering an expanded programme designed for runners of all ages — and even pets.
Under its enduring theme, “How Far Will You Go for Zero Waste?”, Income Eco Run 2026 continues to champion zero-waste living by encouraging sustainable everyday habits before, during, and beyond event day.
A Zero-Waste Run Designed for Everyone
Income Eco Run 2026 strengthens its reputation as one of Singapore’s most inclusive eco-friendly runs with new distance categories for children and pets, alongside its established adult runs.
Participants can choose from 21.1KM, 15KM, 10KM, 5KM, and 3KM distances, while younger runners aged 4–9 years can join the classic 700M Kids Dash. For the first time, children aged 10–12 years can take on a longer 1.2KM run, offering a meaningful challenge aligned with the event’s sustainability message.
The popular Pets Category has also expanded, with 700M and 1.2KM distance options now available for both dogs and cats, accompanied by up to two owners per pet. These additions underscore Income Eco Run’s commitment to family-friendly wellness and shared environmental responsibility.
Turning Every Kilometre into Climate Action
Sustainability at Income Eco Run goes beyond awareness. For every kilometre clocked, Income Insurance will donate $1 to support green causes, continuing its long-standing commitment to environmental education and impact.
Previous editions of the event have funded learning journeys for educators and students, nurturing Singapore’s next generation of eco-advocates. With over 150,000 kilometres clocked since its inception, Income Eco Run has already generated $160,000 in donations supporting sustainability initiatives.

Strengthening Zero-Waste Practices at Income Eco Run 2026
Income Eco Run 2026 continues to raise the bar for sustainable event management through carefully designed zero-waste practices, including:
Compostable, plastic-free paper cups at all hydration points
65% smaller run bibs, reducing paper usage
A continued “wear-your-own-tee” initiative, encouraging participants to reuse existing apparel
E-medals instead of physical medals to minimise material waste
Carbon offsetting based on travel, logistics, and T-shirt production
Organic waste such as banana peels, pet waste, and paper cups will be composted by ENTO Industries, while children’s medals will be crafted from upcycled plastic bottle caps by Plastify.

New Eco Experience Learning Journeys for Children
Extending its impact beyond race day, Income Eco Run 2026 introduces new post-event Eco Experience learning journeys to deepen sustainability education for children and families.
These hands-on experiences include:
A behind-the-scenes visit to ALBA E-waste, where children can learn how electronic waste is recycled
A composting journey with ENTO Industries, showcasing how organic waste from the run is converted into fertiliser
An interactive sustainability learning session by WWF-Singapore at FairPrice’s flagship sustainable store, focusing on eco-labels and green grocery practices
Child participants can register as parent-child pairs for these eco excursions, which are designed to make sustainability education fun, engaging, and impactful. Slots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Proven Environmental Impact Since 2023
Since its launch in 2023, Income Eco Run has delivered measurable environmental outcomes, including:
Nearly 14,000 participants, raising nationwide awareness of sustainable living
1,348kg of materials saved through recycled event T-shirts and upcycled kids’ medals
41,000 plastic-free cups and banana peels diverted from landfills in 2025 alone
Six-fold increase in compostable waste conversion using Black Soldier Fly larvae
These achievements position Income Eco Run as a leading zero-waste sporting event in Singapore.

Optional Sustainability-Designed Event T-Shirt
Staying true to its reuse-first philosophy, Income Eco Run 2026 introduces an optional commemorative T-shirt, designed in collaboration with local illustrator Tammy Chew of @teechewpaper.
Priced at $10, the T-shirt is made from recycled water bottles and features a timeless design intended for continued wear beyond event day. Importantly, the shirt is opt-in, reinforcing the event’s commitment to reducing unnecessary merchandise waste.
