Singapore, 23 June 2022 - Climb Central has scaled another summit with its latest outlet at the newly revamped i12 Katong. With its newest branch, Climb Central continues to challenge convention by creating authentic experiences for everyone from 5-year old kids to serious climbers.
Climb Central Katong is the fourth and latest branch to be opened within malls in Singapore, the others are located at Kallang Wave Mall, Funan Mall and Novena Square. Climb Central Katong is also the first outlet to have a jungle-themed wall dedicated specially for kids, illustrated by local artist Hollowist and designed in-house by the Climb Central team.

Designed specially for kids with plenty of interactive elements such as tyres, ropes and custom climbing shapes, the jungle-themed wall is sure to pique their interest. The various elements allow kids to feel like they are scaling the trees of a real forest.
Children aged five and weighing at least 20kg will be able to try out this one-of-a-kind wall that will allow them to kickstart their passion for the sport.

Climb Central is also in the midst of developing a high-element kids rope course which is slated to be opened in August this year. The rope course will feature multiple obstacles that will test the endurance and courage of children while enabling them to develop a taste for adventure.
This strengthens Climb Central’s initiative in catering not just to the serious or recreational climber but also to those who wish to start young.

With multiple climbing routes catering to different proficiency levels, Climb Central promises fun for those who wish to have a family outing and for those who seek a challenge.
Founder of the Climb Asia Group and Climb Central, Halil Ngah said: "We are thrilled to be opening our fourth outlet here in the heart of Katong. The East Coast area has always been special to me, having spent most of my younger years here."

"Rock climbing is a sport that has piqued the interest of many over the years and I am extremely proud that we have reduced the barriers of entry to the sport; allowing many to have a taste since our first branch at a shopping mall. Our fourth outlet is different from the previous three with stronger emphasis on making sure that we cater to the young who wish to have a taste of what rock climbing is like."
"I hope that Climb Central Katong will become a hub for the young and their families all over Singapore who wish to scale new heights for generations to come."

About Climb Asia Group
In 2002, three climbers, realising there was no information on climbing routes in Singapore and Malaysia, decided to publish a climbing guidebook themselves.
A year later, they made climbing accessible to all by opening the first commercial climbing gym in Singapore - turning an old shophouse into a climbing and bouldering gym.
