Fusing things together may not always turn out pretty, but in the case of the multi-channel BOSS x Russell Athletic activation that brought together a diverse group of local talents, it was a truly a sight to behold.

And we're not just talking about the twist of classic and contemporary that came out of combining the art of tailoring with classic sports wear.

It was truly a masterstroke to involve Singapore's local athletes, the perfect embodiments of the qualities and pioneering attitude that sum up the two brands and what today's tastemakers are looking for.

The activation was not just limited to a social media campaign either, with Singapore Slingers athletes Delvin Goh, Ng Han Bin, Lavin Raj, and Xavier Alexander strutting their basketball skills with a BOSS x Russell Athletic pink basketball on court.

Held at Mandarin Gallery on 22 April 2021, the BOSS x Russell Athletic Showcase featured unisex pieces, with the collection bringing together the best of both worlds, uniting archive inspiration to drive change and create an entirely new product of its own.

Beyond basketballers modelling, highlights of the showcase also featured a basketball court, a pink vending machine that displayed curated selections of BOSS x Russell Athletic's off-court classics and limited-edition BOSS x Russell Athletic basketballs, with an eye catching basketball court and bleachers display, which was perfect for taking instagrammable photos.

To wrap up the full set of basketball offerings visitors were also treated to an Augmented Reality basketball game that was available in-store via a QR code, with participants standing a chance to win an exclusive BOSS x Russell Athletic Basketball.

Talk about a real slam dunk of a campaign for BOSS and Russell Athletics.
